"I'd like to talk about Halong Bay, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in northern Vietnam. I visited this magnificent destination last summer with my family during a week-long vacation.
Halong Bay is situated about 170 kilometers from Hanoi, and it took us around three hours to reach there by bus. The bay is famous for its emerald waters and thousands of towering limestone karsts and isles in various shapes and sizes.
During our visit, we stayed on a traditional junk boat for two nights, which was an amazing experience in itself. Each day, we explored different parts of the bay, kayaking through hidden caves and lagoons that were absolutely breathtaking. We also visited floating fishing villages where local people have lived for generations, which gave us insight into their unique way of life. One of the highlights was climbing to the top of Titop Island, where we were rewarded with a panoramic view of the entire bay - it was truly spectacular.
